About this CLass

Students will take turns learning to throw on the wheel as instructors provide light assistance. We appreciate your help with keeping the wheels to 12yo and up. Handbuilding projects are available for our younger guests.

What to expect:

Step 1) Show up! Then put your name on our waitlist - this event is first come, first served.

Step 2) Wheelthrowing demos will be done at 3, 4, 5, and 6pm. No need to show up right at 3 pm. Handbuilding demonstrations and help will be available during the event.

Step 3) Each guest will get a ball of clay to try to make something on the wheel. If you succeed - great! If you'd like to have us fire your work it's $20/piece. If it falls apart (this is very likely - pottery is challenging!) you can put your name back on the list and try again! Please respect that other people are waiting.

Step 4) Have tons of fun, meet someone new, ask lots of questions, and check out the studio! We'll have waitlists available for our upcoming classes as well.

Step 5) If you choose to have your work fired, it will be completed in 8-12 weeks. We will notify you when the pieces are done, and then hold them for 4 weeks before we discard them.

All pottery activities are free! Choose to have your work finished and glazed one color of your choice for $20. Add handles, extra colors and other accoutrements for $5/ea.

Family friendly, BYOB (be responsible and respectful).
