In this 6-week class, you'll learn how to create a lighting fixture with clay through instructor-chosen demos which will be adapted to each class and dependent on student requests. You'll have full creative flexibility on what you want to learn and make. The possibilities are endless so please come prepared with some ideas!

Decoration techniques covered: 

• Introductory glazing

• Underglazing

• Reductive/additive texture

Included in this class: 

• Class time

• Access to open studio

• 25# clay

• Glazing materials

• Firing for up to one fixture

Not included in this class:

• Wire/lighting kit

• The instructor will talk through recommendations for the best lighting kit based on your individual project. 

• The cost of ordering lighting kit will fall to students. 

Pottery made in this class will be finished within 2 weeks of glazing day and will be kept in the studio for 3 more weeks before removal from the studio.
