Service Description

Please note: This class is designed to build upon existing skills and expertise. To fully benefit from this experience, we recommend having a solid foundation in throwing and trimming. We encourage individuals who have completed at least one level 2 course at Stone Bear Studios or a comparable studio to join us. This class will focus on the refinement of form, alteration, and ideas of ceramic design. Handbuilding skills will greatly increase your success in this class. Classes meet from 6-8:30 on the following days: 7/25, 8/1, 8/8, 8/15, 8/22, 8/5 If you miss a class, we have one back-up trimming day: Saturday, August 31 from 1:30-4pm. If you miss your Glaze Day, Back-Up Glaze Day is 9/14 from 10a-2pm. Included in this class: class time, 25# clay, glazing materials & firing costs for up to 8 pots (additional pots may be purchased during your week 5 class), and open studio time when available. Pottery made in this class will be finished within 3 weeks of glazing day and will be kept in the studio until 10/26/24 at which time it will be discarded if left unclaimed. Open studio will be offered at a first come, first served basis in time frames when staff is present and wheels are available. Open Studio schedule will be posted in the studio. Missed classes may be made up between weeks 1-5 during these times. Otherwise there is no guarantee for any missed classes. Full payment must be made up front. 50% may be refunded if you cancel 72 hours or more in advance of the first meeting of your class. Any unused classes are forfeit and not subject to a refund.
