Intro to Clay: SUN 1:30-4pm - SEP-OCT

Service Description

In this class, students will learn handbuilding and wheelthrowing skills. Schedule is as follows: Weeks 1-2: Handbuilding Weeks 3-4: Wheelthrowing Week 5: Trimming all Projects Week 6: Glazing Classes meet for 2.5hr on the following days: 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13, Glazing Day 10/20 If you miss your Glaze Day, Back-Up Glaze Day is Saturday, 10/26 from 10a-2pm. Included in this class: class time, 25# clay, glazing materials & firing costs for up to 8 pieces (additional pieces may be purchased during your week 5 class), and open studio time when available. Pottery made in this class will be finished within 3 weeks of glazing day and will be kept in the studio until 12/7/24 at which time it will be discarded if left unclaimed. Open studio will be offered at a first come, first served basis in time frames when staff is present and wheels are available. Open Studio schedule will be posted in the studio. Missed classes may be made up between weeks 1-5 during these times. Otherwise there is no guarantee for any missed classes. Full payment must be made up front. 50% may be refunded if you cancel 72 hours or more in advance of the first meeting of your class. Any unused classes are forfeit and not subject to a refund. Classes are open to students 18+ at this time. Youth classes are not yet available. Instructors subject to change based on enrollment numbers. Classes not reaching 3 enrolled students will be cancelled. Students in cancelled classes may switch to another available class, defer their payment to a future session, or receive a refund less booking fees.
